Before we dive into today’s heartwarming story, we’d like to introduce Michele—a long-time follower of our community and a familiar name in our photo contests over the years. Her beloved furbaby, Tinkerbell, has been a cherished participant for almost a decade, capturing hearts with her charm and personality.

Interviewer: Let’s start from the beginning. When did Tinkerbell become part of your life?

Michele: It was February 22nd, 2018. That’s the day our gorgeous shelter kitty Tinkerbell officially found her forever home with us here in Eddyville, Kentucky.

Interviewer: What first drew you to her?

Michele: I saw her photo on a shelter website, and something just clicked instantly. I knew she was perfect for our home. But honestly, when I went to meet her in person… that feeling only grew stronger. I didn’t just like her—I had to bring her home.

Interviewer: That sounds like love at first sight. Was it easy to adopt her?

Michele: Not exactly! We found out that several other people were interested in her too. That’s when things got a little… intense.

Interviewer: What did you do?

Michele: Well, my husband David stepped up in the most amazing way. He agreed to go spend the night in the shelter parking lot so we’d be first in line the next morning.

Interviewer: You camped out overnight?

Michele: We did! We passed the time with four movies, some snacks, and very little sleep. It was exhausting—but also kind of exciting. We just knew she was worth it.

Interviewer: And the moment you finally got her?

Michele: I’ll never forget it. When they finally handed her over to us, it felt like everything fell into place. We walked out of that shelter as a perfect little family of three. It was the best feeling ever.

Interviewer: What has life with Tinkerbell been like since then?

Michele: She’s brought so much joy into our lives. She’s not just a pet—she’s family, through and through.

Interviewer: She’s also become quite the star, hasn’t she?

Michele: Oh yes! Since 2018, Tinkerbell has been featured every year in LoveCATS’ calendar and photobook. And starting in 2023, she even got her own calendar and exclusive photobook. We’re so proud of her—it’s like watching your little one shine!

Interviewer: If you had to sum up Tinkerbell in one sentence?

Michele: She’s the little cat who turned one unforgettable night into a lifetime of happiness. 💛
