Nikolay Chernishevsky Cruise has hired two cats to oversee operations on their ship .The ship cruises between Moscow and St. Petersburg, traversing several rivers and the Baltic Canal.
One of them is named Bosun, which is Russian for “boatswain,” an Old English word that basically means “boat janitor.” The other is named Matros, which is Russian for “deckhand.”
Both of them, Cat Captain and First Mouser, seem enjoy performing their duties on the Nikolay Chernishevsky and they are even allowed to sleep on the job!
