Penny was taken to a local shelter when her elderly owner could no longer look after her.
The grgeous-looking deaf cat with one green and blue eye is having a hard time trying to adapt to her new life at the shelter.

Shelter staff say the five-year-old kitty struggled to adapt and kept on crying for her owner.
“It took her a little bit of time as she was pining for her owner for quite a while; she was stressed and upset.” one of her caretaker says.

Penny may also be deaf. At the sheter, they carried out sound tests to check whether she responds to noises and sometimes she does respond but it could be that she is reacting to the vibrations of the sounds, especially if she was born deaf.

Penny’s caretakers hope she will soon find the forever home she deserves and a loving family that is patient and understanding.
