Right out of the blue, a cat suddenly emerged from underneath the rubble after an horrific air raid in Kyiv, Ukraine that destroyed the whole village.
Once the air raid was over, a volunteer rescuer who was searching for human and animal survivors, spotted the cat all covered in ashes, terrified by the events and crying for help.
The cat was immediately rescued and rushed to a vet hospital where he received treatment in the intensive care unit.

The volunteer rescuer named the cat Phoenix, after the immortal bird associated with Greek mythology that obtains new life by arising from the ashes.
Phoenix was found injured and severely burnt, and the vets thought there were very slim chances that he could survive, however, he miraculously made an impressive full recovery.
Although Phoenix’s little body is now full of scars of war, both physical and emotional, the traumatic event did not leave him blind nor deaf and he is in fact in quite good shape considering all that he’s been through.

The best part of all is that Phoenix has also found a new forever home in his rescuer’s office.
