Richie, a truly exceptional Main Coon

On the internet, cats with peculiar looks have higher chances of going viral and Richie is no exception!

The charming feline was born in November of 2020 and immediately at birth it was rather clear that Richie would be very hairy!

His looks are rare and truly exceptional as he seems to be wearing an extra fur coat over his own that makes him look like a lemur.

Richie’s owners had two stray cats for 20 years that gave them lots of love. After their passing, they took their time before greeting a new cat into their home.

This time they fell for a cute black smoke Main Coon kitten without even knowing Richie would eventually become so exceptional.

Maine coons are loved not only for their extravagant looks, but also intelligence and devotion to their human family.

Richie is also a real ‘cat-dog’, which is a special feature of Maine Coons.

“He enjoys company and tends to follow us around the house. We call him the sous-chef because when we are cooking, he sits next to the spices and observes our every move.” his mom says.

Richie is a sociable and curious cat who loves to play with other cats. And, like most cats, Richie also enjoys looking through windows.

it didn’t take long for Richie to gain popularity due to the amazing photos and videos on social media, his incredibly unusual fur makes him look like a majestic creature.
