Tinkerbell, from shelter cat to princess

How far would you go to adopt a shelter cat you just know you won’t be able to live without?

Michele tells us the beautiful story of how she and her husband fell in love with a photo on Facebook of precious Tinkerbell who stole their heart from day one!

On February 21st, 2018, Michele and her husband David set out on a journey that would end up being a seventeen-hour wait to finally bring home their sweet Princess Tinkerbell.

Michele and David parked outside the Christian Co Animal Shelter for the night and waited for its doors to open. They were very well prepared with pillows, blankets, snacks, drinks and a DVD player.

“As the night went by, we talked about how we couldn’t believe what we were doing but knew that in the morning it would all be worth it. We watched some movies and slept for a while.” Michele explained.

Morning finally came and at 10:30 am the shelter opened its doors and that was it!

“Our hearts were full of excitement. They put her in our arms, and it was the best feeling ever! ” Tinkerbell’s proud parents said.

Tinkerbell, the shelter cat became Tinkerbell Rennier, and their home is now complete and full of so much love!

Beautiful Tinkerbell has won a spot on LoveCATS” calendars for a few years in a row and has been chosen to be on the cover of LoveCATS’ 2022 Photobook.
