April 6, 2023Narnia, a stunning genetic wonder
Narnia’s unique looks, caused by a remarkably rare genetic trait, makes him a truly stunning feline.
His face is perfectly split half grey and half black, a very rare and spectacular trait.
He also has beautiful blue eyes, which is very rare in a cat that is all black. Normally blue eyes are often found in white cats.
“When Narnia was born I was extremely surprised. I knew immediately that he was exceptional.” his mom said.

Handsome Narnia has recently fathered two gorgeous kittens, one grey and one black with a flash of white on her chin just like daddy.
What is so rare about Narnia then?
Typically, this rare genetic trait is caused by a condition called ‘Chimerism’ in which Tom cats have an extra X chromosome, however, after running some tests vets have confirmed Narnia does not have such condition.

“Narnia was born with a double black and grey face, which is very rare – normally a cat cannot be black and grey.” his vet said.
A geneticist performed tests and found that Narnia has only one DNA… which is a complete mystery for science!
