Gorgeous ginger Samm from Oregon might soon have a Guinness World Records title after his owners discovered he is two years older than the current feline recognized as the world’s oldest living cat.
Samm was already an older stray when his mom adopted him in Memphis in 2002, and his veterinarian has confirmed he is 26 years old and in good health. Scroll down for video…
Currently, Guinness is working to verify Samm can claim the title as Oldest Living Cat.

The handsome ginger gentleman came to the record keepers’ attention when his mom reached out to them after friends suggested she should.
His mom said she is in the process of submitting the proper evidence to Guinness World Records to have Samm officially recognized.

Although most pet cats pass away in their teenage years, it’s not all that unusual for an indoor house cat to make it into its early 20s, if it’s well cared for and doesn’t have any serious medical conditions.
