April 7, 2022‘Santa Claws’ gets stuck in a chimney on Christmas Eve
A concerned family called a local rescue when their cat started acting strangely after hearing some meowing coming from inside the chimney and realised another cat was stuck in there.
They were surprised to find a slightly different Father Christmas coming down the chimney at Christmas in their home.
Help arrived and Santa Claws was safely freed after the fireplace was removed.
It must have been quite a fall for him and thankfully the family realised there was a cat there so they could call for help.
He was frightened and was a little grumpy but thankfully he wasn’t left injured – although he did manage to leave sooty paw prints all over the family’s light-coloured furniture.
Although he was not microchipped, the cat was found to be in good health and looked like a well looked after cat from the neighbourhood so he sure had a family waiting for him at home.
Santa Claws was released back in the area with a paper collar reporting the details of the incident so his owners could learn about his little festive adventure!
