Taylor Swift has never been shy about her love for cats — and after adding gorgeous Benjamin Button to her furry family, she proudly accepted the official title of “cat lady.”
Taylor got her third cat, Benjamin Button, back in 2019. She named him after a fictional character she loves: Brad Pitt’s Benjamin Button in the film of the same name.

Unlike his cat sisters Olivia and Meredith Grey, Benjamin is a Ragdoll.
Taylor met him on the set of the music video for “ME!” the cute ragdoll kitten starred in the video alongside Meredith and Olivia.
ALthough Taylor wasn’t his mom just yet, she took Benjamin home with her after the video shoot!
When the handler asked Swift if she wanted to hold the cat before their scene, she said she knew then he would be coming home with her.

“He was just a cute kitten who didn’t have a home and would not stop purring,” she said.
“She handed me this tiny cat and he just turns into a purring machine and … he looks at me like, ‘You’re my mom, and we’re going to live together.’ I just fell in love,” Taylor said.
A few days later, Swift introduced him to the world on Instagram with a cute photo of the two of them, captioned “And then there were three … “
In 2023, Taylor Swift was named “Person of the Year” by TIME Magazine and Benjamin joined her on the cover of its December edition.

The gorgeous Ragdoll cat looked like a fluffy accessory as it rested gracefully on Taylor’s shoulders and the photo became iconic right away!
When Taylor was asked how did they come up with this idea for the cover of the worldwide famous magazine, she replied:
“They told me: ‘We’d like to name you Person of the Year’ and I asked: ‘Can I bring my cat?’ ”
