After 4 years missing, Bella was found sheltering under a car

Bella went missing on the same day her family got back home from their vacations. Four years later, she was found soaking wet and sheltering under a car on a street about 15 miles away from her home.

She has now been reunited with her family who were “astonished” to hear the news that Bella would be coming home again.

Bella had been microchipped, with contact details up to date, meaning the animal welfare charity could care for her until her family was contacted.

Her dad said: “Bella went missing on the same day we returned home from vacations in 2017. We must have just missed her as our friend fed her that same morning and we arrived home in the afternoon.

“Sadly, we didn’t see Bella again. We had to tell our sons, who were all under 10 years old at the time, that Bella wasn’t coming back. That was very difficult for all of us.”

When they were called out of the blue and found out that Bella was alive and well after almost four years missing they were completely shocked but also elated.

“Our sons are just thrilled to have Bella back. Especially one of the boys as Bella has adopted his room as her own.

Someone found her on the streets, took her home and called the local animal welfare helpline.

“We are really thankful to her rescuers for bringing Bella back home, it’s like the happy ending of a Disney film.”

When they collected Bella, she was quite thin but otherwise appeared to be in good health.

How she travelled over 15 miles from home and managed to survive all those years will always remain a mystery.

Thankfully Bella was microchipped and the details were up to date so the family could be contacted using the number provided.

The rescuers were absolutely shocked to hear she had been missing since 2017.
