A couple, who live in West Palm Beach took Holly, their 4-year-old tortoiseshell cat, on vacation to Daytona (FL). When some fireworks went off near their motor home, Holly got too scared and ran out the door.
Her owners spent days handing out flyers and working with local authorities to find Holly but eventually had to return to Palm Beach without her.
Holly had been gone for more than 2 months and her owners were losing hope to ever see her again but then something miraculous happened!

Someone spotted an emaciated tortie wandering into a Palm Beach family’s backyard; she was so weak she couldn’t even meow.
They took the stray cat to the vet, where she was scanned for a microchip and it was Holly! Her owners were contacted right away and she was finally reunited with them.
Holly’s 190-mile trek and successful reunion with her owners is something that does not happen often.
“All animals have a sense of direction, but it’s really unusual for cats to find a way home over long distances,” the vet said.
“I think this is somewhat of a miracle.”
