Dorothy miraculously survived deadly Iowa tornado

Because of the miraculous survival, her mom decided to rename her Dorothy, after the character from “The Wizard of Oz.”

Last winter, Dorothy managed to stay alive during deadly Iowa tornado by hiding in a shed that was leveled by the twister.

She managed to survive the ordeal unharmed and with only some matted fur due to mud and debris.

Dorothy’s mom, Patty, doesn’t know how such a small and fragile cat could possibly survive!

“The only thing left [of the shed] was the door laying on the ground and the floor,” her mom said. “So, I don’t know how she did it; God was with her, too.”

Dorothy’s family property was destroyed by the EF-2 tornado. Barns and farm equipment are now reduced to piles of rubble, while seven people were killed in the devastating storms that ripped through central Iowa.
