August 10, 2022Hero vet goes into Ukraine and rescues 200 homeless cats!
Hero vet Jakub and his team drove into the war-zone to rescue homeless and injured animals in Ukraine.
The route was extremely dangerous and many of the animals they found were so badly injured that they had to be PTS.
Nevertheless, they managed to successfully rescue 200 cats and 60 dogs that were transported back to Poland in three convoys.
“On this rescue mission, there were three cars and eight people. We came back in the middle of the night, spent about six hours checking all the animals and then we could finally get some sleep for about two hours.” the hero vet said.
Most of the animals are deeply traumatized and in very poor condition so they will have to stay at the shelter for about two or three months before they’re ready to find new homes.

Those who make a full recovery will be rehomed across Europe, and a couple of cats that were rescued have already been happily reunited with their Ukrainian families.
Hero vet Jakub founded the ADA Foundation ( animal shelter and vet clinic) when he was just 17. He runs the non-profit solely on donations and now with the help of volunteers who have come from all over the world, together they’re helping Ukrainian animals in need.
