Zipped-up inside a laundry bag and left to die

Dougie was heard crying by a woman who was out on an early morning walk. The crying was coming from inside a moving zipped-up laundry bag found left abandoned at a park.

To her shock, she found a frightened grey and white tabby cat inside, desperately pacing from side to side in a bid to get out.

Concerned for the cat’s welfare, she picked the bag up and took the cat in her car to the nearest charity’s animal centre.

‘He’s making progress and staff are confident that given time, Dougie will come round before they find him a loving new home.” the shelter spokesperson said.

Sadly, the cost of living crisis is having a great impact on the increasing number of abandoned and neglected animals being found these days.
