Debbie and Jeff were forced out of their home due to an intense wildfire near their property.
In a hurry, they grabbed their cat Ruthie Rosemary without a carrier and got her into their car.
As they were ready to leave, she jumped out of the car and ran away so fast she went out of sight; they had to leave without her.
They returned a few days later, and found that the wildfire had destroyed most of their belongings, property and vehicles as well.

Their house was severely burned up. The fire was so intense that even aluminum parts of the vehicles melted.
They had lost all hope of ever finding their beloved Ruthie Rosemary alive… but then, they heard a familiar meow coming from under a burned over truck.
Much to their surprise and delight, it was their four-year-old tabby Ruthie Rosemary!

She was terrified and starving, however, other than singed whiskers and eyebrows, little Ruthie Rosemary was miraculously unharmed.
Nobody will ever know where she hid during the wildfire nor how she managed to survive bute her family is sure grateful she was found alive!
