Pooh was injured in some horrible traffic accident in a small Bulgarian village. No one knows what exactly happened but most likely he was hit by a car.
A compassionate woman rushed the injured kitty to a vet clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, where surgeon Vladislav Zlatinov examined the cat.
Amputating Pooh’s back legs high up on the limbs may not have worked which would have resulted in having to euthanize the kitty.
The vet decided to do something innovative for Pooh and it worked!
Dr. Vladislav Zlatinov says: “We’re very proud, it was quite a success and It gives hope to other patients.”
Pooh can now move freely on flat surfaces — he can walk, run and even jump a little and most importantly, he is not in any pain.
