Tallulah returned home six years later but her family was gone!

When Tallulah vanished six years ago, Lisa, her husband James and their three kids were crushed. ‘She was a delightful kitten, the kids could pick her up’ Lisa said.

Tallulah, who was 18-month- old at the time, went outside and never came back home.

‘But she was very food motivated. I think she had been fed by someone else. I believe they just kept her and didn’t let her out.’

A year later, the family moved to Australia, never expecting to see Tallulah again.

Six years later, poor Tallulah was found straying near their old family home in London – 10,500 miles away from where they’re living now.

Tallulah is microchipped, and first they tried to contact her family on the phone number registered but obviously they have a different number now.

To their shock, they got an email from the RSPCA saying the cat had been found all these years later. ‘I couldn’t believe it,’ Lisa said.

It’d take a £2,000 bill and very long wait to have Tallulah join her family’s new home, the whole process of taking a cat to Australia can take up to 12 months.

The process would involve Tallulah having blood tests, waiting a long time for results and then being quarantined which means Tallulah would be eight-and-a-half years old by the time they got her back.

‘We are still undecided, but we plan to do what is best for her,’ Lisa said.
